London’s new politics of planning

Time to think more strategically to deliver the homes and workspace we need
Organised by London Planning Analyst, with Planning in London magazine, hosted by Colliers International planning in london logo2colliers logo pbBPF_67

New Mayor, new politics and policies: But will planning policy help deliver the homes and the workspace the capital needs? London Planning Analyst’s inaugural conference will focus on the forces directing these two fundamental land uses under new London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Our speakers will argue for policy changes they believe London needs. A day-long conference for investors, developers, housebuilders, consultants, designers, planners, politicians and anyone interested in London’s future, focusing on the two main land uses in London - homes and workspace.

The conference will include:

- The Mayor's emerging policies, what's working, what isn't

- Working London: What kind of space do we need? Are we running out of space? Where is it needed? Is policy helping or hindering. And is mixed-use the answer?

- Living in London: how can London get the homes it needs? Do we need new policies, or do we just build more council houses? Are developers paying too much planning tax?

- Mixed blessings: is the future of London's homes and workspaces in mixed-use, flexible development and does policy need to change to liberate new land uses? Can we design the right buildings and space to make new mixed-use places?
